Experience with Agile Methods:

Training: read all the books and received 1 day training from each of the following:

· Michael Two - continuous integration

· Michael Hill - test-first design

· Ken Schwaber - Scrum

· Bob Martin - XP

· Ken Auer - XP

· Laurie Williams - pair programming

Experience: Have used XP for 2 projects in the past year, the longer lasting 12 weeks and having 2 releases, 3 iterations per release. This project led to the submitted paper for XP/Agile Universe, "Programming at a Research Lab: XP for Missile Nosecones?" This paper addresses the applicability of XP for research environments, particularly in a customer-less context. I bring the perspective of an end-user of XP in a non-business oriented field. I also have gained insight into using XP in a bureaucratic environment where XP is a counter-culture.
